JACKETED GASKETS

FEATURE

Fabricated with Non-Metallic filler inside such as ASBESTOS, GRAPHITE, CERAMIC, NON-ASBESTOS, etc and is covered with metallic sheet such as SS304, SS316, COPPER, BRASS, etc.

Widely used in heat exchangers, boilers, pumps, valves with high pressure, high temperature and severe corrosion conditions for various plants.

These gaskets are fabricated primarily of hand-made and so it can be made to various shapes and sizes such as ROUND, OVAL, OBLONG, etc.

SSG-SINGLE JACKETED GASKETS

Gaskets are jacketed with one thin metal (usually 0.4/0.5 mm thick metal sheet) to inner soft filler.

Generally it can be made in any shapes and the cross section may be of circular or rectangular.

Used in Boiler, Compressor, Pump, Diesel and Gasoline engines of low pressures where space is limited, seating surfaces are narrow and relatively low compressive forces are available for seating.

The majority of applications for this type of gaskets are normally ¼” (6.35 mm) or less in radial width.

Nominal gaskets thickness may be of 3/3.2 mm.

SSG-DOUBLE JACKETED GASKETS

Most commonly used in heat exchanger applications.

Can be made in virtually any material that is commercially found in 26 gauge sheet.

The filler material is completely enclosed by a 2 piece metal jacket which covers both the inside and outside diameters and both contact surfaces.

Most DJ gaskets are custom made; there is no limit to size, shape or configuration.

Designed for high pressure and temperature applications up to and inclusive of class 900.

SSG-DOUBLE JACKETED GASKETS WITH PASS BARS/ RIBS

Awesome Image

It is exactly as similar as mentioned above ( Double Jacket gaskets) in addition, it consists of partition bars also called pass bars or RIBS

Very large gasket diameters can be produced and flange widths as narrow as 8 mm (5/16”) can be produced

These RIBS can be manufactured with either integral or welded pass partition bars in a variety of complex configurations.

SSG-DOUBLE JACKETED GASKETS WITH CORRUGATION

These types of gaskets are fitted with inner& outer ring.

Inner rings provide additional compression limiting stop and provides heat and corrosion barrier protecting gasket windings.

Suitable for use with flat face and raised face flanges.

Specified for high pressure/temperature service class 900# and above or where corrosive or toxic media are present.

Generally used in ASME B 16.20 class 900# and above and also used in B 16.47 type of flanges above 24” X 600#

Find wide applications in oil refineries and follows standard ASME B 16.20 (1” TO 24” NPS) and also ASME B 16.47 (26” TO 60” NPS).
